The News (Frederick, MD) - January 6, 1955

Lewis Edward Specht, of Buckeystown, died at Frederick Memorial Hospital at 11:45 o'clock Wednesday night after an immediate illness of one week. He was 59 years old.

Mr. Specht was born at Urbana, a son of the late Lewis A. L. and Alice Magaha Specht and had lived in Buckeystown over fifty years.

Mr. Specht was a member of the Buckeystown Methodist church and Sunday School and was employed by the Hudson Supply and Equipment Company.

He was a veteran of World War I having-served with the 121st Engineers and was stationed in France nine months in 1918.

He is survived by a sister and brother, Walter L. Specht, Baltimore, and Mrs. Chester M. Cissel, Adamstoun. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

The body is at the funeral home, 3 East Patrick street, where friends may call after eleven o'clock Friday morning. Funeral services will be held there Saturday afternoon at two o'clock. Interment in Monocacy cemetery, Beallsville. C. E. Cline and Son, funeral directors.
