ROCKWELL - Mae Boger Weddington, 83, died Saturday, April 5, 2008, at Genesis Elder Care of Salisbury.

Born October 29, 1924, in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late John J. Boger and Lyda M. Boger. She graduated from Rockwell High School and was retired from Rowan Industries where she was a seamstress. She was a life long member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rockwell where she was a member of Women of the ELCA, member of Jane Boger Circle, and was a teacher of the nursery class at Immanuel Lutheran Church.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a brother, John Boger, Jr.

She is survived by her husband Council Haywood Weddington, Sr; son, Woody Weddington and wife Helen; daughter, Alice Kluttz and husband Bob; brothers, Dale C. Boger and Jim L. Boger; sisters, Sara Sherrill and Marie Morgan; grandchildren, Becky Griffin, John Weddington, Macheal Humes, Maressa Kluttz and Allison Kluttz; great-grandchildren, Katlin Weddington, Ethan Humes and Brooke Griffin.

Funeral and Burial: Tuesday, April 8, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rockwell, conducted by Rev. Bruce Sheeks, pastor. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Visitation: Powles Funeral Home on Monday night, April 7, 2008, from 6-8 p.m.

Memorials: Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, 2070 Emanuel Church Road, Rockwell, NC 28138.
