Mulberry and community was both shocked and grieved to hear of the sudden passing of the Rev. W. J. Seiberling, at his home in Homestead, Pennsylvania. The sad news came to the Reporter office Monday, when the following telegram was received from Rev. Philip Seiberling, eldest son of the deceased man:

"Father died at four a. m. Funeral Wednesday at two."

As to the cause of Rev. Seiberling's death, we are unable to state.

Rev. Seiberling was well known in this community and had a host of friends here. He was pastor of the Mulberry Lutheran parish for nineteen years. He came here directly from the seminary when a single man was installed as pastor on December 7, 1902. He married soon after coming here, and the six children in the family were born in Mulberry. He left here in 1921 to become the pastor of the congregation at Homestead, Pa., where he had been ever since.

Surviving are the widow and six children: Rev. Philip Seiberling, of Ruffs Dale, Pa., Miriam, Ruth, Esther, Anna, and Frederick. Philip and Anna are married.
