Sulphur - Services for Mrs. Verna Moon, 77, 520 West 12th, Sulphur, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Russett Baptist Church, Bahner Funeral Home is in charge. Burial will be in Russett Cemetery.
Mrs. Moon died at 4:15 a.m. Tuesday in Oklahoma City. She had been in ill health for three years. A member of the Baptist Church, she was born in Texas March 30, 1888, and had lived in Sulphur 40 years, coming to the state from Texas. She first lived near Madill after settling in Indian Territory.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Lydia Biddle, Oklahoma City; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Jewell Carter, Davis; two sons, Lewis Carter, Soledad, Calif., and Albert Carter, San Bruno, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Lucy Hughes, Jenks; 17 grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
