There was a double funeral service held for Margaret and her husband, Augustus, on June 11, 1927, since they both died a short time from one other. Augustus died in January at West Newton, Massachusetts, and Margaret died in Chicago in April from heart failure. They were both cremated and their ashes were brought to Barrington and placed in a single casket for burial in Evergreen Cemetery.

KIMBERLYS HOME AT LAST; FUNERAL FOR OLD COUPLE SATURDAY
Funeral Services for Mr. and Mrs. Augustus Van Horn Kimberly, for many years residents of Honey lake, near Barrington, will be held at Evergreen cemetery Saturday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock. The many friends of the old couple, who for so many years were identified with the early history of Barrington are expected to be present.
The ashes of Mr. Kimberly, who died in West Newton, Mass., last January, and those of Mrs. Kimberly, who died in Chicago in April, have been brought to Barrington in urns and will be placed in a single casket.
Doctor and Mrs. M. W. Marr of Pinehurst, N. C., are in Barrington to make funeral arrangements. Mrs. Marr is a daughter of Mr. Kimberly and was born at Honey lake, the property there having. been purchased by her grandfather. Dr. E. S. Kimberly shortly after he came in Chicago in 1832. Raymond R. Kimberly of Chicago, a son of Mr. Kimberly, also will be present at the funeral.
