Jimmie Lee Roberts was the only child of James Thomas Roberts and Sue Sheffield Sirman Roberts. She had two half brothers, Vernon Elmer (Jack) Sirman and Hugh Phillip Sirman.
Jimmie Lee married Alvis Wayne Crosson and had 3 children ~ 2 daughters, Karen and Sheila, and a son, Larry Wayne Crosson.

Jimmie Lee Roberts Crosson married Harlan Rehorn later in life.

OBITUARY:

JIMMIE LEE ROBERTS of Katy, Texas died peacefully at her home surrounded by her children on May 3, 2002. She was a native Houstonian born January 20, 1922 to James Thomas Roberts and Sue Sheffield Roberts. Jimmie Lee was an accomplished pianist who served as pianist at the First Baptist Church of Bellaire, Texas during the 1950's and early 1960's. She began free lance court reporting in the mid 1960's and was former co-owner of A-1 Reporting Service, Inc. of Houston. Jimmie Lee retired from court reporting in 1996. Having loved dogs all her life, in her retirement years she bred Cavaliers under the name of Gem's Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Jimmie Lee was known throughout the US and UK for her whole color Cavaliers and was a member of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Clubs in the U.S. and Great Britain. Survivors include her children and their spouses, Karen Crosson Brown and Richard L. Brown of Buford, GA, and Sheila Crosson Meck and Larry Meck, of Austin TX; grandchildren, Brian & Kimberly Meck, R. Daniel Brown and Reagan Michelle Crosson; and aunts, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday May 7, 2002 at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77079 (281) 497-2210. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday May 8, 2002 in the Chapel at Tallowood Baptist Church, 555 Tallowood, with Rev. Larry Bertrand officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Jimmie Lee Roberts to the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club-USA, Health Foundation, 602 Wing Ct., Tecumseh, MI 49286-1052.
