A retired carpenter, he was born April 4, 1881, in the Town of Wayne, Washington County, the son of William and Christina Waechter. He married Anna Ladendorff Nov. 17, 1917, at Wausau.
Survivors include his widow; one son, Elmer, Milwaukee; two daughters, Mrs. Ernst Hagner of West Bend and Mrs. Oscar Mueller, Oakfield; one son, Norman, of Texas, six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Linda Tobin. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Friends may call at the Koepsell Funeral Home, Mayville, until noon on Tuesday and then at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Knowles, until the 2 p.m. funeral service, Rev. Paul H. Huth officiating. Burial will be in St. Luke's Cemetery.
