Assault and capture of Ft Hindman Arkansas Post Jan 63. Moved to Louisiana in May. Assault and siege of Vicksburg and Jackson,MS May-Jul 63. Operations on Memphis & Charleston Railroad in Alabama, Battles of Chattanooga, Lookout Mt, Missionary Ridge, Ringgold Gap, TN in Nov 63. Garrison duty in Alabama until Apr 64. Battles of Resaca, Dallas, New Hope Church, Kennesaw Mt, Nickajack Creek, Siege of Atlanta, Jonesboro, pursuit of Hood into Alabama May-Sep 64. Shermans March to the Sea, siege of Savannah Nov-Dec 64. Carolinas Campaign including Salkehatchie Swamps, Columbia, S.C., Bentonville, occupation of Goldsboro and Raleigh N.C. Jan – Apr 65. Following surrender of Johnston and his Army march to Washington DC for triumphal Grand Review May 24 1865. Muster out Jun 6 1865.
