Janet Sue Carter, 65, of Hoopeston died at 1:12 p.m. Sunday (March 6, 2011) at the Hoopeston Community Memorial Hospital.
She was born Dec. 17, 1945 in Wellington to Thomas and Julia (Wiseman) Crawford. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.
She married Wayne E. Carter on May 22, 1966 in Hoopeston. He survives. Also surviving are one son, Wayne Allen (Emily) Carter of Hoopeston; one daughter, Cassy Carter of Hoopeston; her step-father, Warren Hart of Hoopeston; four grandchildren, Gabby, Cayley, Carter and Zach and one sister, Shirley (Jerry) Miller of Hoopeston.
