Samuel Swift, Esq, Boston lawyer, friend and colleague of John Adams,member of the Committee of Correspondence .Died under house arrest during the British siege and occupation of Boston. DAR Patriot #A112031. Membership under this patriot is on hold due to lack of committee correspondence found after April 19, 1775 (the official start of the war). He was laid in the tomb of his first wife's family. His brother in law Samuel Tyley was a friend and Harvard classmate. This was a hurried burial during British occupation and the family lost their finances during this time.
Married (1) Eliphal Tyley 1738 (1713- 1757) , m. 1757 (2) Ann Foster(1729-1788). Three children with first wife, six with second.
