ATOKA -- Services for Don Everette Lewis, 52, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Brown's Funeral Service chapel, Atoka, with the Rev. Bob Cunningham officiating. Interment will be at the Bowen family cemetery near Wardville.
Lewis died April 7, 1997, at his home near Davis. He was born July 28, 1944, at Atoka.
Reared in Ardmore, he graduated from Ardmore High School in 1962, attended the University of Oklahoma and graduated from City College in New York City. He taught at the Art Institute in New York a few years, then was an artist for the Jakel Corporation many years before he retired in July 1996 and returned to Oklahoma.
Survivors include his father, mother, sister, and two brothers.
