Edward T. served in the War Between the States serving the CSA. He was captured, imprisoned and starved. Was later exchanged for a Northern soldier, he was so ill and weak that he died at the home of his Uncle James Joseph Blackshear, Cedar Grove, in Thomas Co., buried in family cemetery on Cedar Grove/Susina Plantation.
