From the Independence Examiner Monday, December 17, 1951, page 2 Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Jane Pryer, 57 of 505 South Avenue, will be conducted at 2:30 pm Tuesday at the Second R.L.D.S. Church, Souith Avenue and Delaware Street. Burial will be in Mound Grove Cemetary.
Mrs. Pryer, died Saturday at her home after a brief illness. She was born in Jackson County and had lived here all of her life. Mrs. Pryer leaves her husband, Harry F. Pryer of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Roger Webb, Mrs. A. G. Netter, and Mrs. Charles Masterson; two sisters, Mrs. J. W. Riley and Mrs. Robert York; two brothers J. T. Hopkins and E.E. Hopkins all of Independence and 10 grandchildren.

"Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Jane Pryer, 57, 505 West South Avenue, who died Saturday at the home, were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Second R.L.D.S. Church Elder Charles Edmonds was in charge of the services, assisted by Elder Lester Whiting and Elder Guy Mintun. Mrs. Imogene Robison sang "My God and I." A quartet composed of Mrs. Imogene Robison, Mrs. Grace Ziers, Evan Fry and Miliford Nace sang "I'm Pressing on the Upward Way" and "Beyond the Sunset." The pallbearers were Leon Pryer, Elmer Bailey, Wando Wilson, Freeman Pryer, Eugene Sullivan, Orville Netz, George Rice and Raymond Buckley. The burial was in Mound Grove cemetery."
