Hazen William Deppe "Hardy" Born at home, February 20, 1921 in Smithfield, Utah to LaVina Corbridge Deppe and William Robinson Deppe Jr. (He was born with pneumonia so his first meal was caster oil). Hazen and Beverly Fisher Deppe were married September 3, 1947 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Hazen passed away on September 3, 2006 (on their 59th wedding anniversary).

He attended Smithfield schools and graduated from North Cache High School with the Class of 1939. He had two sisters, Mavis (Earl) Bodrero and Bernice (Carl) Clawson.

Survivors are his wife, Beverly; one daughter, Deanna Burrows; four sons, Darrell (Tiffany), Randall, Lynn (Wendy), and Keith (Sandra) Deppe; 14 grandchildren; and eight sweet great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by parents, sisters and mates, and one grandchild, Garrett Deppe.

The family would like to express their many thanks to Dr. Stephen Aslami for his kind and professional help for Hazen. Also, to the Care Source for their loving care the last days for Hazen-especially to Debbie who was so kind to him and the family.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2006 at the Valley Park 3rd Ward, 4700 South 2400 West, Taylorsville, Utah, at 10 a.m. Friends may visit with the family from 9-9:45 a.m. at the church. Hazen requested to not have a viewing. Interment will be at the West Point City Cemetery, West Point, Davis County, Utah, 300 North 4000 West.

Hazen, "Should you go first and I remain, one thing I'll have you do, walk slowly down that long long path, for soon, I'll follow you. In that fair homeland, we'll know no parting".
