Mrs. Sarah (Sally) McDaniel, 93, a longtime resident of the Monroe community died Tuesday at the Hillside Rest Home in Colfax.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Monroe Methodist Church. The Rev. James Poulsen will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Dunreath cemetery.
Mrs. McDaniel is survived by seven sons, Floyd, Howard and Billy, all of Monroe; Harley of Knoxville, Sam of Soque, Calif., Ralph of Hood River, Ore., and Claude of Newton; four daughters, Mrs. Ethel Carter of Des Moines, Mrs. Mary Wright and Mrs. Margaret McComas, both of Monroe, and Mrs. Olive Robson of Newton; 29 grandchildren; 59 great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Uriah F. McDaniel, two children; seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
She was born January 5, 1870 in Marion County southwest of Monroe, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Kingery.
