Howard D. Hudson, 54, of China Spring, died Friday in a local hospital.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Connally-Compton West Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. W.L. Armstrong officiating. Burial will be in China Spring Cemetery.
Mr. Hudson was born May 20, 1940, in McLennan County, where he lived most of his life. He graduated from China Spring High School and also attended Baylor University. He served in the U.S. Army. He married Beth Anderson on June 17, 1960. Mr. Hudson owned and operated numerous businesses in the Waco area, including H.D. Hudson Building, Inc. His hobby was magic and it led to the creation of Eagle Canyon Express.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Greg Hudson of China Spring; daughter, Elisabeth Ann Hudson of Dallas; his mother, Mrs. Joe (Ida Mae Tunmire) Hudson of Waco; a sister, Carol Wilkins of Munford, Tenn.; a grandson.
