Graveside funeral services will be held in the West Side District Cemetery on Tuesday at 3 p.m. for longtime Taft resident Ethel M. Jaggers, 85. The pastor of the Taft Heights Assembly of God, will officiate at the services.
Mrs. Jaggers was born in Kolida, Ohio on April 26, 1908, and passed away in a nursing home in Bakersfield on Friday afternoon, July 16, 1993.
She moved to Taft with her family in 1911. She was raised on and lived most of her life on 25 Hill. Mrs. Jaggers was educated in Taft Schools. She was a very active member of the Taft Heights Assembly of God Church.
Mrs. Jaggers was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Jaggers, in December of 1980. Her survivors include her son and his wife, her granddaughters, and by several great grandchildren.
There are no visitation hours scheduled and the services are under the direction of the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home.
