Myrtle was diagnosed with epilepsy in 1921 and died of it on February 20, 1932 in Callaway County, Round Prairie Township, Missouri at the age of 11 years 8 months and 22 days old. Burial took place at Dry Fork Cemetery on February 22, 1932 with the undertaker, Mr. R. A. Holt of New Bloomfield, MO
