Forrest D Parsons, age 62, of Robbinsville NC , went home to be with the Lord, on august 26th, 1994, at his home on lake Santeetlah . He was born in Cartersville GA., to the late Earl and Lema Parsons of Detroit Michigan. He served in the United States Army and in 1957 Married Gail Gibbs, they settled in Walled Lake Michigan and adopted 2 children, Myself Larry Parsons, in 1963 and my sister Linda Parsons in 1965, in 1980 he was divorced. More importantly, he knew Christ as his Savior.
In addition Dad owned a gas station / repair shop in Walled Lake Michigan, in the late 1950's and early 1960's. Later to sell that business and open a Machine Shop "Market Tool Inc" in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Dad was a great Machanic, and a even better Machinest. Throughout the 1960's and 1970's he owned a 1963 Ford Fairlane with a 289 Hipo and a 4 speed transmission. He was well known on the streets of Detroit often cruising Woodward and Tellegraph roads. He never lost a drag race, putting many Mopars and GM's as well as other Fords back up on the trailer or on the back of a wrecker. He retired in 1991 and moved from Farmington Hills, Michigan to his Dream home on Lake Santeetlah in Robbinsville, NC which he and his friends built themselves the year before. About a year later he was diagnosed with ALS, Just 3 short years later he passed away in his sleep sometime in the early morning hours of august 26th 1994. Per his request he was buried at Mount Pisgah Church Cemetery in Warne, NC, next to his father.
Forrest, is survived by his 3 sisters Martha Gibbs, Ann Bondy and Judy Forcier, his Older Brother Joe Parsons passed away in the 1970's and his Brother Ray Passed away in Michigan in 2007, he is also survived by his ex wife Gail Gibbs, myself Larry Parsons my wife Darla Parsons my sister Linda Parsons, and his brother in law James Gibbs, and, Grandchildren, Raymond David, William David of Novi michigan, Annie and Eddie Kujewski of Wixom, Michigan, Lindsey Nartker of Southfield, Michigan, Meghan and Ashley Robitaille of Milford Michigan as well as several niece's and nephews. As well as all of his many friends who all loved him.
