Susannah was the daughter of Samuel Waggoner and Susannah Hammock.

Susannah married Jesse Smith, 11 Jun 1843 in Clay Co KY. They had 13 children that I know of.

Susannah was the 1st cousin 5x's removed of Lee Smith.

First section is permission from groom's father; Second section is permission from bride's father; Third section is their marriage bond.

The Clerk of the Clay county court is hereby authorized to issue a license for a marriage intended to be solemnized between my son Jesse Smith and Susannah Waggoner of this county.

Know all men by these presents that we Jesse Smith Samuel Waggoner are held and firmly bound unto the commonwealth of Kentucky in just and full sum of fifty pounds the payment of which well and truly to be made we bind ourselves our heirs __ & __jointly and severally by these presents sealed with our seals and dated this 11th day of June 1843

The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas there is a marriage shortly intended to be had and solemnized between the above bound Jesse Smith & Susannah Wagoner of Clay County now if there be no lawful cause to obstruct the same then the above obligation to be and remain in full force power & virtue
