Bill Dwayne Jones, 82, passed into the arms of Jesus on Friday morning, July 23rd at the Marshfield Care Center where he had been for two months. His wife Betty and children were at his side.

Born May 19, 1928, to Lloyd and Faye Jones in Elkland, Missouri; he was the youngest of six children who all preceded him in death. On November 23, 1948, he was married to his childhood sweetheart, Betty June Cunningham. To this union two precious children were born; a son, Danny D. Jones and a daughter, Sharon E. Henson. Bill and Betty celebrated their 50th anniversary in November 1998 at the Dickey house. At his passing they had been married 61 years and eight months.

Bill grew up on the family farm and continued farming and construction after marriage. He began working for Herrman Building Center in sales and as personnel manager. Bill helped start the Lebanon store and retired after 30 years of employment. Afterwards he worked for his good friend, Rex Price in construction until his death. He worked part time for Summer Fresh Groceries where he saw many of his friends. He became ill around eight years ago. He did attend his high school reunion, which was their 60th in May 2006.

His spiritual life was of up most importance to him and love of gospel music. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour at a young age at the Elkland Christian Church where he grew up.
