She was born at Seton Hospital, listed as Seton Infirmary, on her death certificate. According to family stories, Doris had a twin sister who also suffered a fetal demise. No death certificate or other information can be found to document the twin.

There is no marker for the girls in the cemetery. The cemetery record does indicate that buried in plot A, 168, 15, on Apr 6, 1938 are the "Wakefield Inf Twins"

The cause listed on Doris' death certificate is premature birth. She was buried in Oakwood Cemetery Annex in Austin, Texas on April 7, 1938. Dorothea reportedly suffered from pre-eclamptic complications which caused premature birth.
