Graveside services at Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria, are to take place today at 11 a.m. for Bessie Calmer Landphair. Mrs. Landphair died Monday afternoon at Welcome Nursing Home at the age of 85. Before she entered the nursing home last July, she lived at 36 S. Pleasant.

Mrs. Landphair, born in Lincoln, Neb. on Dec. 7, 1889 a daughter of the late John and Mary Schmidt Miller, she had lived in the Oberlin-Elyria area for 22 years. She was a member of First Church and of the Oberlin Woman's Club. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward E. Calmer, in 1960, and her second husband, Ellis Landphair, in 1969.

Surviving are a daughter, Barbara Calmer, a member of the Oberlin College faculty who lives at 596 E. College; a son, Donald E. Calmer of Pittsburgh; two grandchildren; and a sister, Lucyle (Mrs. J. J.) Krohn of Atherton, Calif.
