Margaret was born in Grand Rapids, MI. the daughter of Melford Martineau and Margaret Elizabeth VanDyke. Margaret attended Catholic Central Girls School in Grand Rapids and worked many years as a waitress at the Wurzburg's cafe, downtown.
In 1923, Margaret married William Cooper. Margaret and William "Bill" Cooper had four boys; Fred Cooper, Robert Cooper, Gerald Cooper and William Cooper. William Cooper built a brick home off Plainfield in Grand Rapids and the boys attended Creston High School.
William Cooper died in 1943 and Margaret remarried Martin Mol. Mr Mol died shortly after their marriage. Margaret remarried again in 1955 to Louis Feringa.
Margaret and Lou enjoyed traveling to Florida for many years to escape the Michigan winters. Margaret remained in pretty good health through out her elderly years.
