Karen Lynne Norman Alvarez, 57, of Indianapolis, formerly of Columbus and Phoenix, Ariz., died at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010, at The Waters of Indianapolis.

A homemaker, Karen was a member of Franklin Park Church and lived in Phoenix 28 years before returning home to Indiana in 2009.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Spurgeon Funeral Home in Brownstown with Pastor Greg Allison officiating. Calling will be from 11 a.m. until service time Tuesday. Burial will be at Liberty Cemetery in Norman.

Memorial contributions may be made to Clarian Hospice, Franklin Park Church in Indianapolis or Liberty Church in Norman.

Born in Columbus June 1, 1953, Karen was the daughter of Morris W. and Wanda E. George Norman. They preceded her in death.

She is survived by a daughter, Shannon Hill of Indianapolis; brothers, Greg Norman of Columbus and Larry Norman of Norman; and sisters, Brenda Hull of Columbus and Sandy Swanson of Chandler, Ariz.
