Captured October 10, 1864 at Atchafalia, Louisiana. Received at New Orleans, Louisiana on October 15, 1864. Transferred to Ship Island, Mississippi on October 20, 1864. Received at Elmira on November 20, 1864. Died of typhoid fever as a POW.
