Charlie Hamilton, age 90, of Lonoke, Arkansas passed away Friday, March 4, 2011 in Little Rock. He was born April 20, 1920 in Conway to the late Arthur and Myrtle Keller Hamilton.
He was also preceded in death by siblings, Clayton Hamilton, A.J. Hamilton, and Mary Lyons Davis. Mr. Hamilton served in United States Marine Corp– 1st Airwing Division, serving in WW II. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Lonoke, Lonoke Masonic Lodge #51, and the Scottish Rite.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys Ashmore Hamilton; children, Jimmy Hamilton, Mary Alice Henry, Tina Sanford, J.D. Hodges, and Henry Hodges; siblings, J.W. Hamilton, Dewayne Hamilton, Margaret Cox, and Louise Smith, eight grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 7, 2011 at Eastside Baptist Church in Lonoke, with Bro. Allen Brown officiating.
Entombment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.
Visitation will be 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., Sunday, March 6, 2011 at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home 501-982-2136.
