Rosie Florence Stevens, resident of Coweta, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, March 4, 2011 at Coweta Manor Nursing Home in Coweta, OK at the age of 87 years, 10 months and 15 days. She was born on April 17, 1923 in Hulbert, OK to Frank and Viola (Boston) McDonald. Rosie and Doyle Stevens were married on December 19, 1956 in Tahlequah, OK and he preceded her in death on October 11, 1989. Rosie was a homemaker for most of her life. She enjoyed gardening and she loved flowers.

Rosie is survived by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jack and Violet Stevens of Haskell, OK, Alfred and Donnie Stevens of Broken Arrow, OK and Bonnie Root of Liberty, NE; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Stevens, her parents, one sister and three brothers.

A graveside service for Rosie will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 7, 2011 at Park Grove Cemetery in Broken Arrow, OK with Rev. David Miller officiating. The viewing will be on Monday, March 7, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Wright Funeral Home. Friends may send condolences to the family online at www.wrightfh.net.
