Mrs. J.L. McKimmy, 79, passed away on Monday morning, Nov 12, at the Mt. Pleasant Community Hospital, after suffering a double cerebal hemorrhage. The McKimmys were enroute to their winter home in Mt. Dora, Florida, when they stopped in Ithaca to have some work done on their car.. While waiting, Mrs. McKimmy was stricken in the garage and removed to the hospital, where she died without regaining consciousness. Agnes Irene Boyce was born in Fulton County, Ohio on August 6, 1872, the daughter of Stephen and Mary Boyce. She married J.L. McKimmy on January 1, 1882. They moved to Beaverton in March 1907.
