William Henry Baker, 481 East Johnson avenue, died Saturday night at 8 15 o'clock in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ethel Hanks, where he was taken Wednesday when he suffered a stioke of apoplexy, being stricken while walking on Water street. The body was taken to J. J. Moran & Sons to await the time of the funeral. W. H. Baker was born March 8, 1852, in Greenfield, Ind, where he
married Frances Carson in 1882 and where he was a member of the Adventist church. Prior to coming to Decatur eight years ago he had for a number of years made his home In
Neoga. He leaves his wife and the following named children: Ward Baker of Palmyra; John, Leonard and Fred Baker, Mrs. Cora Young, Mrs. Ethel Hanks, Mrs. Anna Suddith, and Mrs. Merle Breske of Decatur; also twenty-nine grandchildren.
