Funeral Rites Held For Wallace Ashdown
Wallace S. Ashdown, 74, of 1953 South Davis Blvd., Bountiful, died of a heart attack Saturday, Nov. 8 at his home.
He was born March 22, 1895 in Bountiful, a son of William and Elvira Sessions Ashdown. He married Norma Curtis on Sept. 14, 1918 in San Francisco, Calif. Later the marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Mr. Ashdown was a former rancher and truck driver for Foss Lewis Sand and Gravel Co. He was an active member of the LDS Church and was a member of the Bountiful 23rd Ward. Former Scout merit badge counselor, Sunday School teacher, genealogical worker. Veteran of world war I .
He is survived by his widow, two sons and three daughters, Robert C., Bountiful; Larry C., Sunset; Mrs. J.S. (Mickey) Kitterman of Pullman, Wash; Mrs. Gordon L. (Melva) Plant of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Blair (Shirley) Adams of Layton; 17 grandchildren; one brother, Frank D. of Bountiful; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Tolman Patterson of Salt Lake City; and Mrs. Jesse Tolman of Burbank, Calif.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 11 in the Bountiful East Stake House. Internment in the Bountiful Memorial Park,

Speaker, Bishop Ted Bradford; musical selection by Marlene McBride, Jeannie Ward, Erma Bills, De Anna Packer, LeRae Wright and Marilyn Erickson, accompanied by Clara Welling, sung "Peace I Leave With You". Benediction by Rex Ashdown; postlude music by Marjorie Bodily.
Military service at the cemetery by the George R. Day Post.
Pallbearers were Bob Anderson, David Ashdown, Greg Kitterman, Dwight Ashdown, Elmer Reed, David Lewis and Vee Reynolds.
Floral offerings care for by the Bountiful 23rd LDS Ward Relief Society.
Internment in the Bountiful Memorial Park, with dedication of the grave by Frank Ashdown.
