US Politician. He served as a Member of the California State Assembly for the 52nd District in 1906, Delegate to the Republican National Convention from California in 1912, and as Lieutenant Governor of California from 1915 until his death in office in 1916. The Eshleman Hall at the University of California, in Berkeley, California, is named in his memory.
