Harold L. Krause Jr., 59, Berlin, died Jan. 21, 2008, at Somerset Hospital. Born Nov. 14, 1948, in Meyersdale, son of Harold Sr. and Lois (Dickey) Krause. Preceded in death by his father; wife of 37 years, Judy (Sipe) Krause; son, Eric; and grandson, Connor. Survived by mother Lois, Berlin; children, Jason (Lori) Krause, Somerset; Mitzi Krause, Berlin; Melissa (Mike) Friedline, Friedens; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Krause, Rockwood; grandchildren, Alexandria, Jasmine, Tyler, Tanner, and Collin; sister, Mary Jean (Larry) Graves, Seattle; and father-in-law, Paul Sipe, Berlin. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran. Member of the American Legion Post 445 and VFW Post 7295 of Berlin, the New Baltimore Sportsman's Club, Slanter's Hunting Camp, and the Somerset FOE 1801. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Mark Bender officiating. Interment Berlin IOOF Cemetery. Graveside military honors provided by the Berlin Veteran's Home.
