Bruce F. Hamlin, 67, a farmer and lifelong resident of Knox County, died at 5:40 o'clock Saturday morning, Nov. 12, 1966, at his home in Hurdland where he had lived the last three and one-half years. He had been in failing health the last several months and prior to moving to Hurdland had lived in the Edina Vicinity.

Funeral services were at 1 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Chapel here with the Rev. E.E. Hembree, pastor of the Edina Assembly of God Church, where Mr. Hamlin attended services, and the Rev. George Hensel of Hurdland officiating. Burial was in the Linville Cemetery.

Surviving are his wife, eight sons and three daughters, Ray, Frank and Harley, of Edina, Roland and Donnie Hamlin of Hurdland, Ralph Hamlin of Gorin, Charley Hamlin, who is stationed with the United States Army at Fort Leonard Wood, and Tommy Hamlin of the home, Julia Ann, Mrs. Ray Peters, Betty, Mrs. Jack Shahan and Mary, Mrs. Jack Bishop, also of Edina. Also surviving are 23 grandchildren, and four brothers, Guy Hamlin of Seymour, Ind., Denver Hamlin of Kuma, Idaho, Elvin "Dick" Hamlin of Elwin, Ill., and Harry Hamlin of Bonne Terre, and an aunt, Mrs. Lizzie Arment, of Edina.

Mr. Hamlin was born Oct. 4, 1899, in Knox County, one of the seven sons of Frank M. and Mary Elizabeth Little Hamlin, and was married Aug. 21, 1922, at Edina, to Velma Gladys Kenoyer. Prior to moving to Hurdland the family had lived in the Edina vicinity and last resided on a farm east of Edina on Highway No. 6. His parents and two brothers, Claude and Tommy Hamlin, preceded him in death.
