Carolyn Jean McKay Lindsay Austin went to be with her Lord and Savior, passing peacefully in her sleep at her home in Dolan Springs, AZ. Memorial services were held Saturday, March 12, 2011, at The First United Methodist Church in Waskom, Tx.
Carolyn was born in Vivian La., to Edward York and Juanita Janice Pearson McKay. She was one of the most beautiful little girls I've ever seen in my life. Carolyn will be remembered by friends and family for her superb decorating and incomparable cooking skills.
Carolyn was proceeded in death by her granddaughter, Brianna Angel Lindsay, her mother, Juanita Pearson Miller and her maternal grandparents, Joseph and Velia Holt Pearson.
Carolyn leaves behind her husband, Rex E. Austin, of Dolan Springs, AZ; son, Jeffrey Clark Lindsay of Waskom, TX; daughter, Leslie Carol Lindsay and grandson Lindsay Klark Wallace, both of Waco, TX; Granddaughters, Monica Renee Cason and Bronte Alcira Flores; sisters Ruthie Dale of Waskom, TX, Sharon Riggs of Shreveport, LA, and Shirley Hardt of Phoenix, AZ; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
