Thomas Heatherly, , aged 75, and Luella Lantz, a pretty Barbour county girl, recently eloped. They drove forty miles to Grafton, and were married while sitting in the buggy, by a minister. As soon as the ceremony was performed the couple returned on their return trip. The father of the girl appeared on the scene some time after, and found the knot had been tied. He started in pursuit and it was the opinion of

Bent, for the past four years superintendent of the Huntington district of the West Virginia Conference of the Methodist Episcopal church, died here late tonight. He was born in Gilmer County in 1859.
