Ethel Nesbitt was born in Lorain Co Ohio on April 22, 1887. She was the daughter of Norman Edward Nesbit and Anna Chastina Pratt Nesbit.

According to the US Evangelical Lutheran Church of America Records 1875-1940 Ethel and James were married on 15 Mar 1916 in Rocky River OH. Ethel and her husband were living in Eau Gallie Fl when their children were born. The family moved to St Augustine Fl in the early 1920s. Her children grew up there.

James Welch and Ethel Welch divorced in 1936. Ethel continued to live in St Augustine. Her family and friends knew her to be a dear, kind, lovely lady.

During Ethel's 'super' senior years, she moved to Tallahassee Fl to live near her daughter, Marian Ethel Welch Mayo.

When she died, she had 2 children, 4 grandchildren, and great grandchildren who survived her.

Ethel Nesbitt Welch is buried in the Roselawn Cemetery in Tallahassee, FL.
