Taken from his Portland, Oregon Death Certificate, Vol.: 8, Page 102, Date: 28 Feb 1911. Proformed by, Dr. J E Kane. He died at 287 N. 19th Street in Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon. At death he was 42 years, 08 months and 12 days old and had been born in Missouri. Widowed. James had been a Portland Fireman. He was the son of John and Permelia [Broyles] Gotcher. His father and mother were from Missouri. Mortuary: Finley & Son, Portland, Oregon. Place of internment: River View Cemetery, Portland, Multnomah, Oregon. Died from, Acute Pulmonary Tuberculosis. [Remember that the foregoing was from a report and some parts could be reported in error].
