Bernadette married Edward Krogman on January 9, 1945 in Hartley, Iowa. Edward passed away August 22, 1957. Bernadette later married Harold Edward Bell in Sheldon Iowa in September 12, 1972

Visitation and vigil service was held at Jurrens Funeral Home in Sibley, Iowa Aug 15, 2010. The service was held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Spirit Lake, with the Rev. James R. Smith officiating on Aug 16.

Internment of cremains was held on Aug 17, 2010 at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Ashton, Iowa.
