His mother was the first woman Postmaster in the small town of Patoutville, Louisiana. Junius was in WWII in the US Army and was in the Mounted Cavalry. He returned after the war to later become employed as a US Postal Carrier in Port Arthur, Jefferson, Texas just like his Mother.He met LaVergne Little-McMonagle a few years after her husband's untimely death at Plettman's Grocery Store, where they both worked, and they married. He became the step-father to four young children 11 years old and younger. Joan McMonagle (Bosman)was the oldest at 11, Patricia "Trish" McMonagle (Sharp-Yonkers), John McMonagle and Kathleen McMonagle (Daigle).They lived happily in their home on 6th Street, and had constant contact with brothers and sisters. They had a camp at Cow Creek and enjoyed the closeness of his siblings including his nieces and nephews and their children. In 1981, he was diagnosed with cancer and 3 months later, he passed. He is buried in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, Jefferson, Port Arthur, Texas in the Mausoleum located in the back of the cemetery. His only wife, LaVergne, was interred next to him when she passed. His siblings include his older brother, Clarence Joseph Domingue, Irene Cecilia Domingue-Finley, Harold Joseph Domingue, and baby sister, Gloria Mae Domingue-Placette.The couple was a happy couple and they loved to go dancing and visit family members. His nickname was "Castette" or "Cas" for hatchet face because the shape of his nose. His sister, Irene, called him "Jun."
