It is very likely that he was one of the original 11 unmarked graves in this cemetery. He died between 1860-1870. His wife was Elizabeth Day Brown from SC.
He and Elizabeth helped establish Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church near Arguta Community upon arrival to the area around 1854-56. They had seven children who lived to adulthood and all lived full lives except the first born, Jessie. He was killed in the civil war. All of the children's grave have been located and linked.
