February 18, 1904 OBITUARY
Mrs. Hendry, the mother of J.L. Hendry, died from pneumonia at the home of her son north of this city Saturday morning. The deceased was about 65 years of age and had gained quite a reputation in her neighborhood for kind deeds and acts. In truth, many of the people in the neighborhood say that she has been a mother to them, and in many ways so endeared herself to them, as to cause them profound sorrow in her death. The funeral was held Tuesday when the last sad rites were performed over the remains of a good woman, a good mother and the kindest of neighbors.
