Ms. Charlene P. Aycoth, 90, died Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009, at White Oak Manor in Rock Hill.

A graveside service was held Tuesday, Nov. 10, at Unity Cemetery in Fort Mill.

A native of Union County, N.C., Ms. Aycoth was a daughter of the late James Aycoth and the late Mattie Belk Aycoth. She was a retiree of Springs Industries and a member of Prospect Baptist Church in Union County.

Surviving are her sons, Robert F. "Bud" Laney of Fort Mill, Roger D. Laney of Cherryville, N.C., Dennis Laney of Chester, Wayne Laney of Richburg, Larry Laney of York, and Richard Laney of McAdenville, N.C.; her daughters, Patricia L. Hughes of Rock Hill, Edith L. Smith of Indian Land, Judy L. Templeton of Rock Hill and Betty L. Akers of Richburg; 20 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
