LaRee Cox Spencer passed away July 23, 1999, surrounded by her family.
Born July 19, 1929, in Fairview, Utah, to Franklin Sanders and Ella Erickson Cox, married John Allen Spencer in the Salt Lake Temple June 21, 1941.
LaRee was an active member of the LDS Church. She worked in the Primary choir, and a teacher in the North 18th Ward and Ensign 4th Ward.
She worked for 25 years for her husband's company, Universal Microfilming, Inc.
She also worked for Primary Children's Medical Center and retired in July 1985.
LaRee and Jack spent their winters in Arizona doing volunteer work at Boswell Memorial Hospital, and their summers in Salt Lake.
She loved life, her family, friends, gardening and going to art class. She was a member of the Gardeneer Club for many years.
LaRee is survived by her children, Susan Claire Spencer of Pagosa Springs CO, John Mark Spencer (Jacquelyn) of So. Jordan; four granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; two sisters, Margaret Cox Fox (Lew) of Salt Lake, Helen Cox Minerva (Al) Vista, CA; and her sister-in-law, Velma Cox of Twin Falls, ID.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 28, 1999, 12 noon, at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, where friends may call Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to services.
Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
