MR. SCHWARTZ

Lawrence T. Schwartz, 91, of Byron, died Saturday, July 24, 1982, at Americana Healthcare Center.

He was born March 17, 1891, a son of the late George and Hannah Bastien Schwartz. He was a veteran of World War I. On June 2, 1925, he married Marcella Schoofs at Byron.

Mr. Schwartz was a past commander of Bintzler-Waehler American Legion Post 347 and a member for 61 years. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church at Byron.

Survivors include two sons, Harold of Fond du Lac and Larry of Thomaston, Conn.; two daughters, Mrs. Harry (Mary Lou) Geiger of Fond du Lac and Mrs. William (Susan) Nitzke of Cottage Grove; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Alfred of Sacramento, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his wife and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Church, Byron. The Rev. Richard Fechhelm will officiate, and burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

Visitation for Mr. Schwartz will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Kietzer Funeral Home, Lomira.
