Stella Lowther, 95, a resident of the Sunbridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Glenville, formerly of Route 1, Linn, died at 11:35 p.m. Friday, July 12, 2002, in the nursing home following an extended illness.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gail Lowther, who died Oct. 3, 1953.
Surviving are two sons and daughter-in-law, James and his wife Sharon Lowther of Paris, Ohio, and Jack Lowther of Linn; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Lester Messenger of Linn; and two sisters, Winnie Frye of Linn and Gladys Messenger of Glenville.
Mrs. Lowther was a homemaker and member of the Upper Ellis United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. today at the Hiney Union Chapel, the Rev. Ronzel Robert officiating. Interment will follow in the Hiney Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hiney Union Chapel on Hiney Ridge from noon-1 p.m. today.
