Funeral services are scheduled at 2 p.m. Monday for Charles L. Brady, 79, of 709 Axtell, a resident of Curry County for more than half a century. He died at 9:30 p.m. Friday in Memorial Hospital where he had been for 11 days.
Services will be conducted in the Charles V. Steed Memorial Chapel by Stanley Letcher, Jr., minister of the Central Church of Christ, assisted by R. C. Bolton of the First Christian Church.
Mr. Brady homesteaded land near here in 1908 and later was a carpenter. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Anna Marie H. Brady; two daughters, Mrs. George Maddox and Mrs. Norman Petty, both of Clovis; and two sons, Loyd C. of Clovis, and Lawrence H., La Puente, CA.
Also surviving are 9 grandchildren and 3 sisters, Mrs. A. J. Bradshaw of Weatherford, OK, Mrs. Stella Reynolds, Delta, CO, and Miss Minnie Brady, Geary, OK.
Pallbearers will be C. R. Smith, W. R. Snyder, Fred Dennis, Franklin Miller, Less Hubby, and W. R. Beck. Honorary bearers J. A. Gilbert, D. M. Rodgers, R. C. Johnson, Dr. W. M. Lancaster, H. B. Prothco, Tom Phelps and Allen Williams.
Burial will follow in Mission Garden of Memories. Steed Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
