Sharon Kaye Barnett (67) of Nowata passed away Monday, February 28, 2011, at Jane Phillips Nowata Health Care Center. Sharon was born October 10, 1943 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Arthur David and Carrie A. (Arning) Lowe.

She attended and graduated from Nowata High School. Sharon lived in the Tulsa and Catoosa areas but returned to Nowata to live after a Tornado destroyed her home in the Catoosa area. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Nowata. Sharon enjoyed taking care of her dog Sasha and working puzzles. She was a very generous person especially for those less fortunate. She loved her family very much and moved in with her mother so she could care for her.

Sharon is survived her aunt Doris, many cousins, other relatives, and a host of friends.

Graveside funeral services for Sharon K. Barnett will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Benjamin Funeral Service of Nowata.
