Julie Beth Carlson, 54, of Omaha, passed away Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011, at her home in Omaha.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church in Osceola with Pastor Robert Perry officiating. Interment will be in the Osceola Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. today at Dubas Funeral Home in Osceola. Dubas Funeral Home of Osceola and Stromsburg has been entrusted with arrangements.

Julie was born Jan. 4, 1957, to Ronald L. and Barbara Jean (Egly) Carlson in Osceola. She attended Riverside District 28 elementary school and graduated from Osceola High School in 1975.

She was united in marriage to Dana Anderson at the United Methodist Church in Columbus. To this union three children were born. The family lived in various places including Lincoln, Brookings, S.D., Howells and Kronborg.

Julie moved to Aurora, and in 2008, she moved to Omaha to be closer to her children.

She was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star. She attended Brookside Church in Omaha and the Brookside Life Group Bible Study. She also attended Bible study and was baptized while living in Aurora.

Julie was a homemaker, worked in management at a telemarketing company and was a high school principal's assistant.

She enjoyed her Starbucks, reading, the outdoors including boating, water skiing, traveling and warm weather. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchild.

Survivors include one son, Ryan (Errin) Anderson; two daughters, Cassandra (Ariel) Cabrera, and Laura Anderson, all of Omaha; grandson, Adrian Cabrera, of Omaha; step-mother, Janet Carlson, of Osceola; sister, Deb (Bill) Stieren, of Nebraska City; brother, Jim (Chris) Carlson, of Silver Creek; step-sister, Mary Lou (Bob) Robak; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald L. Carlson and Barbara Carlson; brother, Steve Carlson; and niece, Andrea Stieren.

Memorials are suggested to the family.
