LOWE, Darrell Craig, 46, of Myrtle Beach, SC, formerly of Roanoke, died Saturday, September 20,1997. Mr. Lowe was retired from The Roanoke City Sheriffs department with over 14 years of service. He was a member of Vinton Church of Christ and also a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nola D. Lowe. Surviving are his wife, Kathy Sue Lowe, Myrtle Beach, SC; his children, Jason Lowe, Lori Spencer, Justin Lowe, Heather Lowe, Jennifer Spencer and David Spencer; three grandchildren, Brandon Spencer, Brittany Spencer and Kendall Lowe; his father, Raymond Lowe, Roanoke; one sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Rick Vaden, Rocky Mount; his grandmother, Ruth Deel, Martinsburg, WV; and a large loving extended family. Funeral services will be conducted 1:30 p.m. Thursday, September 25,1997 at Oakey's Vinton Chapel with the Reverend Daniel Crandell officiating. Burial will follow in Old Dominion Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
